For as long as I can remember I have always loved food. In fact I’d say that my love for food could only be matched by my love for sports – at school if there was a sport being played, I wanted to play it. It was only during my last couple of years at school however, that I became interested in healthy eating in particular, and only after I left school that this interest resulted in the development of @itsfuntoeat – my Instagram page dedicated to healthy, and most importantly tasty, food.

Although Instagram is a great platform for sharing photographs, I wanted a different platform to share not only food and photos, but thoughts that I have on various health and fitness related subjects. There are a few things that worry me about the growing health and fitness movement, such as the concept of #cleaneating; but also things that should be celebrated, such as the increasing number of women starting to lift weights in the gym.

I will be sharing my thoughts on all these subjects and more, and also sharing meal ideas for absolutely anyone who is interested. I do not claim to be an expert on anything that I write about (far from it!) however I have read and researched a lot about various topics of health and fitness, simply because I love to.
